Why
Because he thinks you are what you choose to be and you create your life and your work. Fredrik now works in the field of Sports Psychology, Personal Development, writing, and makes decisions regarding new bike models because these are his passions.
Personal Development and Sports Psychology because this is really a perfect combination of his two greatest passions in life; sports and therapy.
Writing because most words deserve to be rewarded wings so that they like an eagle can fly around the world, land on the right sheets and bounce off into people’s eyes and ears and have an impact. He has a liking for finding these words; dressing them up in beautiful wings and to send them off and see them grow as they fly away.
Cycling because it is a great way of getting from one place to another, because it is part of Triathlon which could be the most fantastic sport in the world and because a bicycle in the right shape is one of the most beautiful things you can lay your eyes upon.
What
Öhrn is Fredrik and he is a therapist. He is a registered nurse and has in the last few years added some extra training to that in order to assist athletes, recreational sports fanatics and others that want to get an edge and become better. He uses some very efficient tools and methods for you to run longer, get a better golf swing, have better focus and to overcome various fears, phobias and habits.
He is writing short stories, Poetry and Travel writing. He also writes about Sports, Design and Culture and observations in his surroundings in his daily life.
Öhrn is also designing and shaping bicycles for racing and commuting. An interest that stems from competing in Triathlon but also from enjoying bicycling as a means of transportation and exploration ever since he got his first orange Crescent on his fifth birthday. He is now working with bike manufacturers and a Swedish artist to make the fastest and coolest looking piece of art that is man powered.
Öhrn is Fredrik’s family name hence the name of this whole thing. Fredrik likes to move, to travel and to live. He loves his family, the outdoors, the city, the mountains and also many different cities around the world. He takes great pleasure in finding new and sometimes odd solutions to common problems and situations.
Currently based out of Bangkok, Thailand but could be based anywhere.
Fredrik loves to spend time in The French Alpes; In Österlen; In Sörmland; In Värmland; in Roslagen and Phuket; in the Stockholm Archipelago; in Bali and he adores Tokyo and New York City.
He feels that he could be based in any of those places really.
When
Born in 1973 in Karlskrona, Blekinge; growing up in Karlskoga, Värmland. Got a younger brother in 1979. High School in Connecticut 1991 and The Civil Service in 1994. Back in Connecticut in 1995 and Red Cross College of Nursing in Stockholm and Madrid 1999. Started off as a nurse, then a copywriter recruting nurses in 2001, web management and Berghs School of Communication in 2004. In Bangkok since 2005. Married in 2006. Medical Tourism and Head of International Business in 2007 and he became a father in 2008.
Fredrik has two favourite bike routes, one is around Stockholm and includes some island hopping in the Stockholm Archipelago, it is roughly a 110 km ride from his former Stockholm home on the island of Södermalm.
