Our coaching method is holistic. We use techniques and processes from sports psychology and yoga to help you develop clarity of vision. Through these methods you can see the purpose to secure greater happiness, success and fulfilment in all aspects of life; career, family, sports and studies.
Do you have a feeling that something is not quite right? You feel stuck and would like some help to move on? You would like to talk to a professional, but seeing a psychologist feels too dramatic? Let us help you see what is wrong and coach you to find goals that resonate with your values.
Top athletes can not perform their best just through physical training. They need to master the mind game too. Our coaching method applies principles from sports psychology to issues you may have at work, home or in school and – of course – in sports.
Our coaching method also includes philosophical and spiritual principles from yoga that further focus, balance and courage in life. Including a physical dimension of coaching supports the process of change on a deeper level. Therefore, a physical yoga program can be tailored to support the work of change you are doing on a mental level.
Most people think of yoga as a means to create strength, flexibility and balance on a physical level. By exploring the broader picture of yoga, you will also become stronger and more flexible on a mental level, preparing you to bravely face challenges in life and to reach the goals you set.
Working more deeply inside the body and mind you achieve deeper peace and integration from the inside out and can radiate more positive influence and be more efficient and productive ‘outside’: at work, at home, in the family and in the broader society.
Undercover yoga
Yoga Teacher Mia Öhrn draws from her personal experience of applying yogic principles to meet the challenges of a demanding diplomatic career in a balanced manner. Working together with performance coach Fredrik Öhrn, she tailors yoga classes to support clients’ work for change.
Yoga can be used as a tool that helps you perform your best – in a balanced manner.
Individual needs, individual classes
Mia Öhrn’s classes are tailored to respond positively to the specific challenges of the individual, group, or team she is teaching.
Further, she offers inspirational talks on how by applying yoga philosophy to everyday life, you can live a more balanced life, stress less and be more mindful through discreet yet effective methods that she refers to as Undercover Yoga.
When we want to bring about change in our lives, we may come to see that we are as stuck in our mental patterns as we are in our physical patterns. Muscular tension may be just one expression of how inflexible we are mentally. If we are stuck in life, how do we then create a space to move? Softening physical tension is a powerful way of liberating ourselves, making room for us to move towards a space of intention.
Stress and memories are stored in different parts of our body. Many of our habitual, mental actions engrave physical marks in our body. Do you recognize the stinging echo in your stomach of a manager’s anger? Or the tightening sensation a short deadline sends to your shoulders? Feel how those long hours in front of your computer hunch your back and nag your neck?
One tactic is to try to remove or avoid those things that cause us stress; but of course, this is not always possible. Indeed, potentially stressful situations may even lie between us and a goal we really want to reach.
However, with the techniques of yoga, we can learn how to respond to stress more healthily and avoid troubling tension. This then gives us the confidence and ability to meet situations which might previously have been intimidating or stressful with calm and ease. This more balanced and open state then allows us to actualise our intentions with greater confidence and efficiency.
In addition to physical yoga postures that promote flexibility, other techniques such as deep relaxation, visualization, breath work and meditation are also used as powerful tools in our classes to promote change.
The personal coaching approach is based on a clear, sequential process.
The first steps are used to establish greater clarity, giving us a more complete view of our current situation and goals. Often, because of the habitual nature of our lives and behaviour, we tend to view our situation from specific perspectives. The coaching dialogue can help open up our perspective to give us a fuller view. This is also very helpful for defining our goals: what we want, or where we would like to be.
The coaching discussion then considers personal achievements, milestones, experiences and other means which can help us to achieve our goals.
Another important part of the process is the identification of personal values. These affirm the motivation to move along the manageable step-by-step path which the coaching process lays out, with a clear sense of purpose and direction.

This week has gone really well and I am really amazed at my new attitude to food. I cannot tell you the difference. It has been quite amazing – much much better than I expected!!! I find that I am now only eating when I am hungry and food is no longer the upper most thing on my mind… but now recognise hunger and will eat only when can feel hunger pangs… which is great… when I try to eat more, I feel really full.
I have to admit I was not sure if the hypnotherapy would work but been totally amazed at the affect.
Also I feel strangely happy… and calm… much calmer than I have felt in a long time.
I have to admit I was not sure if the hypnotherapy would work but been totally amazed at the affect.
Looking forward to seeing you again for top up session.
- Female client after Hypnotic Gastric Band Surgery
Awaking from the hypnosis I had an immediate
sense of how the structure of my thoughts had changed; from being
close to detrimental, my patterns of thought now help me to help
myself. Fredrik helped me bring out positive and progressive thoughts
about myself and allowing myself to see me as what I am right now, not
as my past.- Female client after Self-Esteem sessions
Having been smoker on and off, quitting for a few weeks then starting again and smoking even more than before, I contacted Fredrik after I learned that quite a lot of smokers stopped their addiction with the help of hypnotherapy. On my way to the appointment I smoked a cigarette of course, little did I know that this was my last cigarette and I have never looked back since, I cannot even understand that I poisoned my body for so many years.
I cannot even imagine myself touching a cigarette anymore, just like that. This was one of the most important hours of my life. Thanks Fredrik!”

I walked but very little and then kept running. Improved my PB on the course by 4 minutes and that with very little running training. Thanks!”
- Suzanne, recreational runner and Half Marathoner, Bangkok
From my past as a competitive downhill skier I have experienced sportspsychology for performance improvements.
When finding time to refocus my life goals I turned to hypnotherapy as a support. I turned to consult Fredrik Öhrn, who was recommended to me by a friend who works in the wellness business.
It was a very positive experience to meet with Fredrik. He has an easy approach that gives confidence. The sessions have beeen good and I plan to continue this as I think working with a coach is an ongoing thing.
I have since recommended some of my friends to Fredrik as well.”
- Peter, Creative Executive in Bangkok
I went to see Fredrik to help with my pre-race panic attacks and just talking to him about my thought process before a race was helpful, and that was before we even started the hypnosis. You could say he opened my eyes to a whole new approach to racing before I even closed them!”
- Patrica, Triathlete
I was the first to stand up in front of the group to introduce myself, no problem at all! Even if I don’t become a Yoga teacher after this, I am happy if this is what came out of it – the good feeling of talking in front of a group.”
- Eva, Amercian woman, soon to be a yoga teacher, previously afraid of public speaking
Thanks Fredrik for reinstalling the calm in me, with your efficient hypnomethod and your reassuring attitude. Not even the ambassador’s rage today, would put me off balance, and since I finished work 2 hours ago, I have not thought about it at all!
After our session yesterday I feel so present – and I think my family feels that too! Thanks!”

Fredrik Ohrn assisted my family with Hypnosis sessions, for both my daughter and myself over the last couple of months.
My daughter had been sucking her thumb for many years – it seemed like a safety net for her and a comfort (she is now 13), but it had affected her teeth and was interfering with orthodontic work she was receiving. I discussed Hypnosis with her and she agreed it would be a good thing to try.
Following the session with Fredrik she didn’t depend on her thumb anymore for comfort and whereas before I would check her in the middle of the night and she would have her thumb firmly in her mouth, now she is able to sleep with her arms wide open.
For myself I had an attachment to a person for too long and I wanted to break free and move on. At our first session Fredrik helped me learn to get into a deep state of relaxation. The subsequent second and third sessions enabled me to let go and realise I didn’t need this attachment any longer.
Fredrik conducts his sessions in a very professional and calm manner. His voice is relaxing and soothing as he talks with and guides his clients into a relaxed state.
I am very happy to recommend the services of Fredrik Ohrn”
